My 1986 240dl is stuck in overdrive. When I get on the interstate I am afraid to go over 65 mph. The overdrive indicator arrow is staying on all the time and is making my commute impossible. The indicator would come on on occasion but was never on. But now it is on right when I start the car. I don't believe this to be a tranny problem, but that the electrical system is automaticaly engaging overdrive? Please help so I can get to work without trouble. And while I am in the mood to ask questions, is there a screw on the passenger side of the exhaust roughly even with the center of the passenger door? I am leaking exhaust, and it looks like a round hole for a bolt/scew, just seeing if mine is missing. THANK YOU for your posts, this web site has saved me many headaches and hundreds of $$$$.
