More on Trailer Hitches. 900

My trailer hitch is still one day away. However, my tail light conversion arrived from IPD today. Not to cast doubt on the good people at IPD, but the conversion kit I recieved was just a standard "Drawtight" tail light power module. I didn't have any particular expectations like OEM Volvo, but I wasn't expecting such a commonly available unit. I'm sure it's a good quality unit and unlike some other sources, I can rest asurred that IPD sent me a unit that is compatable with my model and year of Volvo.

This does raise a question: are the Trailer Hitch setups sold by IPD also Drawtite units? If so, they are quite a bit more expensive than the units you can buy from other online sellers. I went for a Reese hitch myself, but you can order a Drawtite for a Volvo 940 for around $120.00. If you are doing so, you could probably save a bit of money (shipping if nothing else) if you went ahead and ordered the drawtite light module from the same seller. You'd also get the whole package on the same day.
