Drowned my 86 740 and now love this car even more! 700 1986

Hi everyone! As only VOLVO lovers getting here, want to share my story.
On the night when "Ivan" were crossing Atlanta I was driving on the road which I was driving for couple of years without any ideas that the road may be floded one time.So that night it was so much water that the river which is near by got like 5-6 feet above it's level and this caused the little road named Columns dr.
in Marietta, get flooded. It was close to 10 pm and it was dark and rainy,so I couldn't see that water covered the road and hit it with the speed 30-35 mph :(
It was 2 feet of water and my car got all the water wich it could possibly take at one time :)The engine got shut and wouldn't start next 2 weeks. OK.What I did
later was : As I found that I got plenty of water in the engine i decided to dry it as much as I can without a garage.I drained the oil(it was water in it),disconnected air intake from the head(the water was in all 4 cillinders )Dryed air intake with the hair dryer, took the spark plugs out, dryed the rotor, airflow meter, put the new air filter,;I've changed the oil 4-5 times and every time it was some water in it Finally after I found that it is no water in the engine I decided to crank it up and oooh miracle! It DID cranked up!I was so happy!(and my neighbours too,I guess, because the car wasn't parked straight on the parking place and were taking 1.5 spots(it's a hill and I couldn"t make it straight))But not everything as good as it looks like.I had smoke frome exghost pipe,my revs become 2-2,5 while idle. But the car was running!Next day after I started it up I decided to make a 15-20 miles trip to check if everything is OK with the car and what happend is ,I was on the hwy driving 50-60 and noticed in the mirrow blue smoke behind me and that was from behind me,;thought my rings got down and I'd have to by the new car; what happened is that somehow the oil got in to the exghost and with some water also in it came out(friend of mine was driving behind me and the oil was all over him,has to clean it up later)But since that,no smog or oil from the tail! About my high revs :I've changed the air flow meter but it wasn't the problem,so put my old one back, friend of mine got big screwdriver and knoked the idle switch.....that was it!from 2000-to700 rpm . FIXED!Now I know that I am owning a unique piece of "carmaking"And so all of you! And now I am proud to say to any one "THIS IS THE VOLVO!"
PS.sorry for a long story but think you'll forgive me :)
