Shifting of transmission 200 1987

I have a 1987 240 DL with 225,000 miles on it. Under hard accelaration when the car shifts it seems as though the car shifts or makes a twisting motion. Is this because a motor mount or transmission mount is possibly broken? I have never changed either. I appreciate any information.
