D-jet fuel pump testing 120-130 66

Hello. I was wondering how to test a D-jet fuel pump. I think the one I have is bad, because it doesn't work when I put it on my 1800, but want to be certain before I buy a new one. I only hooked up the electrical connections to test it. I can't imagine that the presence of fuel would matter, but you never know.
