1992 745 Regina idle issue? 700

Hey to yas, I have an idle surge that completely goes away when the intake hose that goes to the IAC is pinched off. The ignition system is all new. The fuel system is fine all new Volvo brand fuel pump assembly because of bad gauge readings, system psi. is spec on, FPR changed at that time. Air temp sensor has been changed as well as ECU temp. sensor under third intake runner. All grounds have been checked. Map sensor changed. Two other ECU`s from local volvo mechanic that he had from running cars. He also tried a new fuel injection relay. There does not seem to be any vacuum leaks. The cat. is clear and the exhaust is new. I believe the only thing that has not been done is to check the charcoal canister purge valve. There are no OBD codes. (Typical Regina) This all came about with an engine stall that created a problem with a timing issue and fuel issue at the same time. While running rough the fuel pressure gauge went to zero and then came back up to par before it would have stalled. While checking with a timing light there was also intermittent firing that resulted in spark knock before stalling. The correct regina o2 sensor and the crank sensor are also new. Right at the moment the only thing that is happening is the idle surge problem. That does not mean that all the problems will not return because for a while the car would not restart after warm. Upon disconnecting the battery the ECU would reprogram and run fine until another occasional warm restart issue. This car has 140K and is a really nice car other than this issue. My mechanic is a good friend but this car may change that because he is getting fed up as well as myself. Sure hope someone can help save a good buddy and a one legged dog or should I say my sweet volvo. Thanks larry
