lines on timing belt

88 740 gle wagon non turbo with m47,

I have the silver surfer apart and because of the timing belt breaking I had to line up the cam timing mark, the middle gear timing mark, and the crank gear timing marks manually.

I put the belt on with the belt lines lining up with the timeing marks on all three. I then turned the crankshaft bolt clockwise and the belt lines appear to have moved out of the timing marks ...but the timing marks still look good ( when cam is lined up at the gear and timing cover the crank is lined up as well with the notch in the gear and the line on the block.

Should I take the belt off again and realign ??? She isn't buttoned up yet and would hate to have to take apart after all closed up.

-Mark
