so.. a few months back, my car died on me for no apparent reason. The fuel pump was definitely working when it wouldn't start. It did eventually start and run and get me home that day, but I felt I couldn't trust it...
Knowing that my engine wiring was in horrible shape, I bought a near new harness, which also came with a new (recently refurbished anyhow) AMM. Now, 3 months later, I've finished the harness project, and.. as a precaution, I put that new AMM.
Today I took the car for it's first extended drive. It never skipped a beat.
It may be that I've not driven the car in a while, but I could swear it's got more power than it used to. Now I know the wiring couldn't boost power, but....
Could the air mass meter offer more power if the old one wasn't as good as it should be? If that's the case, then I'm thinking that the meter may have been the initial problem when the car died that day... in which case, I've most likely solved the problem...
THanks, and thanks again for the help with the harness...
