      Do you know if an 88 harness will work on a an 86 (240 0f course)

        I think so. There is one extra plug near the ECU but you can jumper it like in the '86, or ignore it. I am pretty sure that is how it works from laying them out side by side. Up to you to make sure all wires are correct.
