Hello everyone,

The manual antenna on my 1991 245 has just been broken off. I have been looking around for a used replacement antenna but am having a difficult time tracking one done. In this year the antenna was mounted on the back left post of the car (beside the tailgate). I'm wondering if any one knows where I can pick one up aso I can end the silence in the car as a result of not being able to listen to the radio. Thanks ahead of time.

    Check out FCP... they sell the volvo OE mast for about 20 bucks I think. I went and got the universal for mine and now my radio sounds like crap.

    If it's only the mast itself that's damaged, it's not a big deal. AutoZone sells a universal replacement mast that works well for that application for about $5. however, if the base part that attaches to the car is damaged, used ones aren't easy to find. One of the aftermarket parts sealers (probably fcpgroton.com, maybe eeuroparts.com) sells the complete assembly, but it's over $40.

    The mast on my 91 came off while I was driving right after I bought the car. The part that screws onto the base was still there, but the wire mast slipped out of it. I cut down a mast I had laying around, and glued it in using some black metal epoxy I had. 6 months later, it still works great.

      Probably as cheap as it'll get for the new OEM part. These are favorites to get ripped off in car washes. Which is why the factory tool kit comes with a little wrench for taking it off... it's designed to be "owner-serviceable."

    I've got an extra one but it is missing the metal bulb on top. The antenna works fine but doesn't look "right". If you want it, the price is right. The one that I put on my wagon I found on eBay but it was a rare find. The dealership wanted way too much for one.
