Cheap Shocks? 700 1989

I have been wanting to put some Boge shocks on my car for a while now. problem is, I don't have time to look for them and it seems unreasonable to pay shipping on something so heavy. I want all four: the inserts in the front and the shocks in the back. I'm just toooo busy. So I'm thinking I might give in and buy whatever they have at the local shop. I guess another issue will be if they have them for my model. But assuming they do, which brand would you go with if Bilstien, Boge, or any premiums were not available? I really want to get something on there by tomorrow.

I fully expect some to tell me not to go cheap and wait. I suppose that's still an option, but I have to do so much driving while I wait.

I just got Bilstein HDs. it's only like $60 more for the pair, and they're top notch. follow this link: http://catalog.eautopartscatalog.com/tayco/part.jsp?partner=tayco&clientid=oem-volvo&cookieid=0X51DSQ7G&baseurl=http://www.oem-volvo-parts.com/&year=1988&make=VO&model=760-T-002&category=L&showChildren=false

Go cheap. Get Autogroan "Gabriel Gas Ryders" or Monbloe "Sensatrac". Be sure to post about your miserable-feeling suspension next week.

Or go online to www.importec.com. Get the type of shocks you really want, at a very good price... Oh, did I mention FREE SHIPPING OVER $50...

Two months ago, I purchased the Autogroan brand shocks. My wife got sick and tired of hearing me complain. So last week, I purchased Boge Automatics from www.importec.com, they arrived in 3 days, I put them on... and yesterday my engine overheated!!!

What you doing next weekend? Working on the Volvo... just working on the Volvo.

Upgraded from second set of OEM to Sachs from FCP Groton last August. Added poly wherever I could. Best decision I made was to spend the little extra $$$ over the stuff available locally. Like driving a completely different car.

Boge turbo gas. The IPD Garage Sale is May 17th, and in addition to the 15% off, they offer free UPS shipping on items bought during the Garage Sale. Want me to buy and have a set shipped to you? You might check FCP Groton's normal prices.

Jarrod,

I don't think anyone can out-cheap me. After all, wealth is what you keep not spend right?

Anyway, check this link from a post earlier this week. I think shipping is free on orders over $75.

Good prices. Regarding paying shipping, I look at it this way. If the items were available locally they wouldn't be at the prices I'll find online. Also, I pay 9.25% sales tax and have to go out and find the items I want. As an example, last year I needed just one Bridgestone RE730 for my 850 and locally the price was $140 plus tax. $152 and change. In 5 minutes I bought the tire online at tirerack.com for $103, no tax and paid about $10 for 2-day shipping to my house.

No comparison. I'll be needed shocks and will get them through Groton or the link above. Nothing like walking back to my desk at work and finding my parts sitting there before the weekend.

Good luck,
