Mechanic in Boston/Cambridge/Somerville MA 200

I have a 90' 240 wagon. I left my fabulous mechanic in Seattle and am looking for a reliable place to take the ol' 240 when problems occur in the Boston area. Any ideas?

I've good experiences over the past 1.5 years at WCS automotive in Rockland MA
but that may be too far S. of Boston for you. They specialize in Volvo work; Wally's had many years of dealer experience before starting his own business.
They'll give you a ride to the commuter rail and pick you up too if that
helps. Wally's a straightshooter and won't snow you or hose you on superfluous
repairs (in my experiences). I've been bringing our two 245's there for almost
    2 years and I'm glad he's there.

    good luck

    Sloan,

I know there are some dealers down in that area but for shops I'm not sure. If ever in the North Shore area, Precision Auto in Rowley is top notch! Probably doesn't help you though.
    Best,
    Adam

Quality Volvo Repeairs in Wakefield (~15-20 minutes north of Cambridge). They have been keeeping me (and my cars - 2 x 240's and an 850) happy for the last seven years. I also have heard good things about Fred Swanson (Swanson Automotive Services) in Brookline. Good Luck.

Click and Clack, the Car Talk guys still have a shop in Cambridge, i think. Apparently they are big fans of 240s, they usually tell people to buy 240s when they call in asking for used car recommendations, so they probably have some experience with Volvos, and of course there is the novelty value of taking a car to these guys.
