Radiator replacement 200

I think it is time to replace the radiator in my 1989 240. Which type should i use? What are the different brands of all metal radiators out there, which one do you think is the best? Does anyone think i should stick to the metal-plastic design? One volvo mechanic i talked to recommended the original type - apparently he's seen quite a few all metal radiators fail after 50k miles. I've also seen an aluminum-plastic "high efficiency" radiator for sale on the internet, is this what my car already has?

IPD radiators seem a bit more expensive than the radiators available elsewhere, could anyone recommend another place to get 240 radiators in or near Portland, OR?

Search for Radtech on Google.

You can buy one direct from their website for only 79 bucks, and free shipping.

Hey, if this fails in 50K, you are still ahead.

Besides, this copper 3 row is probably pretty sturdy.

We put the one from eeuroparts in the wifes 245 a couple of years back and have been very happy with it. My 245 has a nissens in it that came in the car... too early to tell, but I've looked it over pretty close and it seems to be top notch quality. both are 3 row all metal. My neighbor claims that the first thing I do on a new car is replace the radiator (I have a thing about motors running hot) and I have never seen a plastic radiator that I would install. Not even a volvo.
But hey I have nearly as many quirks as my volvos

I would go with the all-metal radiator. Nissens always seems to make good quality stuff, no complaints. The track record of the aluminum/plastic radiators at 10 years old is BAD. Usual failure is the water necks breaking off the plastic tanks. I'd rather have an all-metal replacement. Shop around and compare total prices including shipping, it's a pretty big box!

I just replaced my radiator with a Radtech 3 row all metal from Europarts. It was $99.90 delivered and was a perfect fit. Took 30 min to R&R and appears to be a quality product.
