SAAB Turbo electronics to Volvo turbo 200 1984

I was told that the electronics from a SAAB turbo can be installed in a Volvo turbo. That it will take 1-2 hours and will add about 20+ HP. Is this true and where can I find the instructions for the conversion?

I believe you are speaking of the SAAB APC boost contoller. So it is more of an add-on than a replacement.

1-2 hours?? I think not unless you are really fast. Not super tough, the hardest part involves drilling and taping the head for the knock sensor.

20 HP may be a bit high, but the feel is there....due mainly to the way the boost comes on and is controlled.

Will take some tweaking and tuning..

Go to turbobricks.org to find the link...

      Hey paul,

as far as i figured out there is already a knock sensor on the b230ft and all you have to do is to pig tail it.I was going to do the instalaation but money and time caught up with me. An d then i wrecked my car..still paying for that. Anyways, beign a teenager money comes hard so do i really need to drill and tap or is that only for the b21's?

Only B21Ft needs the drill and tap....AFAIK all you need to do on the B23 t's is get a longer bolt and stack the sensors...
