dragging brakes; new calipers, pads and rotors: NOW WHAT? 700 1988

740 turbo wagon, 233k miles. I am at my wits end. I have now replaced the brake hoses, front calipers, pads and rotors, and ASE mechanic says he doesn't know what it could be to cause these brakes to lock up after driving a short distance.Obviously, the master cylinder is next on the culprit list, but what about the booster, push rod or vacuum pump? All I know is what I have educated myself about using Google and having this car for 10+ years. I can't keep just throwing money into it and I am seriously considering getting a different car. But I have had it so long it seems like I have replaced almost everything on it and I hate to part with it. There's the usual prejudice against women that I run into with a lot of mechanics and I just feel like I am being "milked" for all these costly repairs. (Forgive me if I offend any non chauvinistic males out there) Does anyone have any suggestions?
