I did it that way for years. Of course I eventually got lazy and now have a 33 gallon compressor and air tools in the garage. But the cordless is great for working in the junkyard, on a road trip, or when you don't want to deal with air lines. It's also lighter than the 1/2" air gun. And quieter, when I don't want to fire up the compressor, which is oilless and louder that hell.
