Blower Motor Information 200

I recently replaced the blower motor in my 1990 245. Here is some information that may be of help if you are looking at replacement. I strongly suggest visiting Art's website www.cleanflametrap.com for a pictorial how to.

*686540 impeller clips Dealer $4.89 Tasca $3.28 *
1370240 resistor Dealer $52.18 Tasca $36.90**

Blower Motor:

From Advance Auto one can obtain a, made in Canada, Four Seasons blower motor. It's sold under the brand name Factory Air Brand name Part No. 35566 for $37.99, at this writing. It might take 2-3 days to get this motor, it must come from further up the distribution chain than a regional warehouse.

The VDO blower motor from FCP is manufactured in China.

*Just in case one of the clips gets away from you.

** If replacing the motor resistor, avoid the MTC brand resistor from any vendor, the two I got had identical failures making them unusable.
