Hi guys. Has anyone had problems trying to fit the wedge-type ipd airdam to their 140? I've tried to install it, the gaps are monstrous, and when I try to squeeze it on with clamps, the front bottom edge tweaks up and distorts, making the whole thing look terrible. Is there a good way to remedy this?

Super common issue, as IPD states, with all the spoilers that they market. A fiberglass shop that does boat repair will be able to either make a new one that fits, or make this one fit for you.

If I really wanted to user the spoiler, I would consider cutting slots in the mounting surface, allowing it to conform with the body without passing stress along to the business end of the spoiler.

Each slot should end at a 1/4" or larger hole to act as a stress relief to avoid cracks. The hole may even have to be on the front of the spoiler.

Drill the hole first, then run the slot into it. Sand all edges.

I would start in the middle and work toward the ends. Some slots might have to be V-shaped if they bind.

Find a local guy who builds hot rods - my neighbor Jimmy could do that job with one hand behind his back!

Yes, I will be talking to ipd. The only reason I'm posting here is because ipd has a disclaimer on their site that this spoiler isn't the greatest quality, so I was wondering if anyone else had the same "quality" problems I've had and what they've done to remedy it.
