For what it's worth, I replaced my daughters' 940 radiators with Cyromax and Samsung units that I sourced from O'Reilly and a local radiator shop. I think I paid about $120 each. That was several years ago and they have performed flawlessly. It gets pretty hot in N/S Carolina and there have been no problems.

I have a 92 960 sedan that I just replaced the radiator last month, 03/12. I got my radiator from PerformanceRadiator.com. After tax and free shipping, I paid $178. I used to work for Parts Plus in the Seattle WA area and Performance Radiator was my goto choice. The radiator I received was an EXACT replacement, aluminum core, plastic side tanks. My 960 has 204,xxx miles on it. I hope this helps you.

Dear Volvo426,

Hope you're well. Yes. One cannot have too much cooling capacity. Too little cooling capacity - especially if the car lives in an area with high average ambient temperatures - will shorten the engine's working life.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
