If you see a wiring harness running to the base of your distributor. Then suspect hall sensor. If so, look at the wires/plastic connector. Been know to crumble and short out against the distributor. The plastic piece is avaible for a couple bucks. Replacing the hall sensor is not. If no hall sensor, suspect crank sensor. FAQs covers both.
