is there such a thing as glass turn signal lenses that are half amber and half clear (1986-1993)? I sold a pair of e-code turn signal assemblies on ebay and the guy is upset they aren't glass. the ones I sold were Cibies. they are all plastic correct ?

I have only seen one set of e-code corner lights and they are plastic.

I tried telling him they were all made out of plastic but he seems to think because they accompany the Ecode headlights that they too were glass.
He tried to tell me that is why they sold for $81 for the set. they were beautiful cibie assemblies.

I have the full set of Cibie-made/Volvo-branded euroheadlights (a birthday gift shipped from europe by my lawyer-daughter while on a business trip over there) and although the side marker lenses are beautifully made, really solid feeling, and with top-notch fresnel lens "embossing" (for lack of thinking of a better term) -- compared to my DJAuto-brand crap on my other car -- the lenses are, nevertheless, still plastic!

they sold for $81 because that is what he bid. If you advertised glass turning signals, then he might have a gripe - but you probably advertised e-code Cibies.

And since the e-code Cibies have plastic turn signals - that's his problem.

I haven't seen glass turning signals on anything in an extremly long time (European or American)

Never seen or come across a glass one before. The ones I saw in USA (with white turn signal) are plastic. So are the ones here (amber turn signal & e code headlamps).

Yeah, I'd be upset too, if I was living in a fantasy land and my belief was just shattered. Turn signal lenses haven't been made out of glass in years, I think that is the code!!! You should look it up.
