Parking brake Concern!! 200

Hey guys, I'm not a 240 guy but I am a materials engineer and you guys are scaring me!!
Brake friction material is bonded with fairly high-temp thermosetting resins
that do NOT soften appreciably when they get hot.
Most expoxies start losing strength below 300°F and I would think that
UNLESS you had special high-temp epoxy specifically rated for hot service,
you are taking your life in your hands using epoxies for bonding brake linings.
Even though the parking brake is rarely used for emergencies, the heat of normal
braking can be conducted to the shoes and they could easily get that hot.
Larger cities have places that re-do brake shoes and clutch plates.
If you can't get new or commercially refurbed shoes, you should get them done by
someone with professional experience!

(And you guys mostly know that I am the guy who, if something CAN be fixed, will do my
utmost to fix it myself!)
