Wagon Dome Light in a Sedan? 200

Anyone done it? Looks like I'll have to put a couple screws in the headliner to make it work, at least.

My new ricer exhaust (rear muffler rusted off) has been vibrating my dome light. Two days ago in traffic I was fed up, decided to "fix" it temporarily. I reached up to pop out the dome light and the tabs snapped off. My only spare comes from a 245, so I'm wondering if it's worth trying to swap it into my sedan, or should I just hit up the junk yard?

I should have a spare sedan light at my parents house. It'll take me a while to get to it, but it's yours if you want it.

Thanks Laine! I'll let you know. I have modified my broken dome light to stay in; if it stays put, I'll just let it be. If it whacks me in the head going down the road...I'll let you know.

I remember reading that someone did this because it provides more light, no idea how it works though. You might be able to use some of those tapped clips that usually come with speakers to secure the screws, I forget the technical name for them...
