Tailgate won't unlock 700 1992

Make sure your outside handle is fully released, i.e. the paddle of the handle is back closest to the door. Our 90 745T has an issue with this- once it's squeezed it does not return due to corrosion inside the handle assembly. I'm not in any hurry to get in there and take it apart since I hate dealing with 7/9 interior panels.

Just like the door handles vs the power locks, if it's depressed when the power lock is actuated, it will defeat the solenoid and not unlock.

Won't hurt to soak every bit that you can see with PB Blaster or equivalent to try to free it up.
