Battery cable meltdown 700 1989

Main problem is that they ran both of the battery cables together in one sheath down to the subframe and out a big ass clamp around them to keep them from moving. They chaffe through the insulation right at the clamp and then it all melts down. I had one in my shop maybe two weeks ago. The kid got off lucky and needed only a battery recharge, both cables and he was good to go. Even at that though it is still in the area of $280.00 plus your tow.

The broken negative cable at the block is yet another problem. When I get a car towed in for a no crank condition it usually turns out to be that cable busted off.
