Yes, open up the wired connector assembly. It snaps open. Get plenty of light on the subject and retension the contacts. Straighten them if they are twisted at all.

If the flex circuit was replaced but not the taillamp housing, you may have melted the plastic support for the flex connection. But if I read you right, you have new everything, except those plugs from the wiring.
