The ETC sensor harness is some other color than black, perhaps blue. It is the same size and type of connector as those on the fuel injector harnesses. The ETC sensor is located closer toward the transmission than the coolant sensor for the dash gauge. The coolant-dash gauge sensor has a large harness connector with fat plugs, so don't mistake it for the ETC sensor.

Also don't mistake the ETC sensor connector for some cars that have a similar type connector going to a cold start injector on the bottom side of the intake manifold.
