First I want to Thank all those helped. Would not have done it would out the BB.
It's started with replacing the AMM, then pulling the hall sensor, then found that the head gasket was bad, which lead to a cracked head.
So I pulled out head, the block and the tranny, the harness. Everything I get my hands on. Cleaned out about 10lb of sludge and crud from car.
I got a sweet 'new' head from a PnPull (91 240) for next to nothing. Had it cleaned and put new seals on.
Replaced all the seals and gaskets and bushings and mounts ect.
I removed the tail shaft and took it to Amocco and they replaced the bushing in ten minutes.
The rear seal was pressed by a machine shop (a Folgers coffee can works great to push it in, same inner diameter).
Fixed the wire harness with tool dip and tape. It worked out fine. Also found that Volvo sells the indvidual connecters (don't know how much they go for). But next time.
It starts and runs fine. Don't see any leaks. Coolant is still green.
Took me about 8 days of working from 10 to 5. I'm tired. Putting stuff back is harder than removing it. Hands are bruised and rough. Girlfriend.gov still loves me, now.
But it's not idling. Idles too low and dies. (see other post)
