I fixed the harness and cleaned the ground contacts with acetone before putting them on.
Here's what I found with a timing gun.
At 1500 rpm timing is somewhat correct (around 12-10 dtdc)
But at idle it's all retarded (30ish deg) quite a bit and then dies.
I did open up the hall sensor and glued it back instead of rivots (before). I'm thinking it's not aligned percisely. I may have mucked it up.
I got a used distributor and plan to put that on tomorrow. As far the base idle I think it's a timing issue. TPS is checked, clicks right. I'll also replace the knock sensor with a used on. (I droped the original, it may be damaged)
