The US working with the CIA created Bin Laden. We taught him everything he knows. You might want to look up Charlie Wilson and his role in that bit of history.

Bill Clinton got closer than anyone in catching Bin Laden. Bill Clinton recognized terrorism as the new threat to national security. He created a terrorist czar - Richard Clark - whose entire focus was on Iran and Bin Laden.

When Bush went into office, he chose a Cabinet that blatantly ignored the advice of Clark and didn't even know who Bin Laden was. Their primary focus was on Getting Saddam and Iraq.

Bush is responsible for choosing his cabinet and their level of competence. He is responsible for the results of their bad choices. Paying attention to Clark would have made a big difference. Remember we had the information we needed to get the attackers. They were being watched and in the US.

Deal with the fact that Bush blew it.
