Man, this "debutante" thing is getting tiresome... We all went to school, and I suggest that none of us had a lot of choice in which school until nearly the age of majority. I went to the school that was chosen for me, simply by liviing in a particular catchment area: no school buses then, no car to take me to another one.
We commie Canadians (as you see us) do well without the "free enterprise" insurance companies, and the US companies just hate that. They spend much of your premiums supporting lobbyists here, trying to break the back of our social medicine system, and yowl like hell when we offer generic instead of the hugely inflated name brand drugs. We know they are there; they fight for TV time whenever possible.
We pay more for gasoline here, as well as cigarettes and booze and income taxes, so that illness does not also bankrupt us. Wow, that has to be a filthy commie plot, right? Silly us, we see it as civilised...
