Have you checked the air mix controls (a wheel) near the vents? That could explain why two vents blow differently.

I was told it is better to go ahead and replace the compressor and clutch and not just the clutch because the compressor failure is likely not far behind.

Some have adjusted the spacers between the clutch and compressor. There are detailed photos somewhere. Search this site some more for those links.
