Gear shift micro switch V70-XC70 1998

Looks like the gear selector micro switch on my wifes V70 is going south rapidly. When I try to move the selector out of Park it won't! Anyone know how difficult this is to change - I see they are around $25 for a new awitch. Any help would be gratefully received -figure this might be something I can do without having to pay $70+ an hour labor.
