Accumulator o-ring help

yes if disabling the system for a period then best to leave it charged up,and never open to atmosphere as this would cause rust damage. you would be best advised to replace the accumulator when you finally get the compressor sorted and want it to all work again. accumulators contain a dessicant drying material to remove moisture and if left opened for too long it ruins them.
