how a strut brace can cost you money ... seem like something else was wrong V70-XC70 1999

Very odd. I installed a genuine Volvo brace to my wife's V70 when it was new, and we did not have any trouble at all with tire wear. We rotate them about every 5000 miles. The steering precision improved in a subtle way, but it was not the type of improvement that most drivers would notice.
