Headrest Problems XC90

Hello,
I posted this in the "Buyers" forum two days ago, but apparently no one looks in there, so I'm posting this to both the XC-90 and S70 forums cause it could apply to either. Please excuse the duplicate postings.

I am concidering purchasing an XC-90 but have an issue with the headrest. I have the same problem in my wife's S-70 whenever I ride in it. The headrest sit so far forward, I cannot sit in a normal position when sitting in the front seats. I have to hold my head forward in an un-natural position to keep my head from hitting the headrest. I made a 1" thick foam cushion to place between my back and seat in the S-70. This works fine for the few times I ride in her car, but I don't want to have to resort to using a pad for my everyday vehicle which is what the XC-90 would be.

I'd like to know if there is any good reason why I couldn't do something as simple as remove the headrest, bend the support post back several degrees, and re-install them whereby alleviating the problem? Yes, I'm familiar with Volvo's "WHIPS" system for safety, but unless there is something special or unique about Volvo's seat and headrest design/construction, I don't see any harm coming from changing the headrest angle by a few degrees. Any replies or other ideas will be appreciated.
Sincere Regards,
