Trunk lock question S40-V40 2001

Did you accidently turn the trunk lock key all the way counter-clockwise so that it faces up and down then remove the key?

If you did, then the remote will NOT unlock the trunk.

Put your key into the lock and turn it Counter-clockwise until the key is pointing left and right and remove the key.

The remote should work now.
