MAF Sensor and Throttle Control S70

I just went through the same routine (2000 S70 GLT) with the CEL, then the TCS light, and a few hiccups. The dealer convinced me to let them replace the throttle body and the MAF for a total of about $1200. I don't see why cleaning the sensor with some spray wouldn't have been a good idea to try first, but then I'd still have my $1200 and the dealer wouldn't. A complete rip-off.
