remote lock problem 850 1995

SOMEBODY POSTED THE MESSAGE BELOW LAST FALL. IT'S ABOUT EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM I HAVE WITH MY 95 TURBO SEDAN. THE ORIGINAL POST SOLICTED A FEW NOTIONAL IDEAS BUT NO CONCRETE FIXES. ANYONE OUT THERE SUCCESSFULLY DEAL WITH THIS MADDENING PROBLEM? THANKS.

I have a 1994 850 Wagon and I can "unlock" the door locks remotely but can't "lock" them remotely. This scenario occurs when the rear hatch lock in the "locked" position.
If I unlock the rear hatch then the remote will both "lock" and "unlock" the doors remotely which is what I'd like it to do (makes sense) but what seems wierd is that I then have to manually "lock" the rear hatch....

Any suggestions or is this the way it is supposed to work. I would have guessed that if I can lock/unlock the doors wouldn't the same hold true for the rear hatch and that it would lock/unlock with the rest of the doors?
