KBB say $3200-5000. The pnp and tranny problems are present in all 850's. If it is a one owner and never been wrecked, then it is in the $4500 range. If 2nd owner, then drop $500. Service records are required. Just let her know that keeping a Volvo will probably cost about $1000 a year.

If there is a good indie in the neighborhood, have him check out the car for $100.
