850 blower won't turn off 850 1995

Today I changed the blower on my 1995 850. When I plugged it in, it immediately came on, without the key being in the ignition. I checked the fuses and everything looked ok. I even tried to put the old noisy one back in and I get the same thing. It runs on high and won't turn off. Any ideas? It's getting cold!!
