odd electrics! Help? 850

Here's the strangest part first. Today the dash illum lights didnt go out until i turned the blower off!!! I had noticed a cpl weeks ago that the dash illuminated when the car was started even though the lights were turned off. They would go out after a few mins. A few weeks before that the car went dead and required a jump. No elec probs before that. Any ideas? Thanks H
