I have a 2001 V40 and the A/C is giving me a problem. When I'm driving, at speed, it blows cold but, when I'm at idle or say in traffic, it starts blowing warm air and the engine temperature starts rising. My guess is that one of the cooling fans aren't working properly. If I'm correct in my guess, the cooling fan on the left side of engine(driver's side)is for the A/C while the R.S. is engine cooling? I realize that the engine cooling fan is on after a certain engine coolant temp. is reached and it looks to be operating properly(from my observations) but, shouldn't the L.S. cooling fan be on anytime the A/C is operating? Thanks for your time... Brian
