Mechanical vs. hydraulic tensioners 1998

If you visit the Volvo website, they seem a little confused, since they recommend changing BOTH belt and tensioner at 70,000 miles and don't distinguish between the early '98 70k/hydraulic tensioner belts and the later 105k/mechanical tensioner belts.

I just changed belt-tensioner-idler at 140k on my '98, the tensioner wasn't leaking, yet.
