Contrary to popular belief, the manifold does NOT need to be removed to replace the plastic hose leading from the oil trap. My mechanic just replaced mine (after I inadvertantly broke it while cleaning my flame-trap) by pulling the old one off at the rubber elbow, then feeding the new hose on, using a long screwdriver as a guide. I didn't see him do it, but that's how he explained it! I also consider him a Volvo genious!!!
