When my Volvo sits there all by itself, it is listening for a command from the remote control to unlock the door (or whatever). This module requires some battery current to run.
When I lock the door the security system arms and the little light on the dash flashes. This security system requires some current to run.
So, is the current drawn in the locked (security activated) and unlocked (just listening for the remote) state approximately the same. Or, does it draw more current while locked and loaded?
I guess I could disconnect the battery and insert an ammeter to find out. Has anyone done this?
