Sounds like the original stalling problem was due to the FPR as you haven't suffered any of the symptoms since. However, the latest problem could be caused by a vacuum leak, maybe in the servo.

Check all vacuum hoses (some of them can be a bitch to get to) and replace any that appear to be worn or cracked.
