Use at least a.............. V70-XC70 1998

Well, spent another 2 days on it, went through one can of Super Liquid Wrench, knocked the rotor at least 200 times with a mallet. Couldn't move it one mm :-(

For V70AWD, '98, there is a round metal sheet behind the rotor (to shield the rotor from dirt from inside of the wheel). This metal shield is held by 2 bolts, one of them can only be reached after you take out the rotor! Only leaves an opening at the location of the caliper that I can hit the rotor on. Besides, there is not a lot of space that allows me to swing the mallet hard onto the rotor. So I don't know how any of you can 'knock it out' unless you have a garage facility that gives you more room to swing your hammer...

I'm going to give it up after 2 frsutrating days... Maybe it's not something for the weekend mechanics at home.
