Well, I went ahead and did it. The parts came in today, and I installed everything. There's just a little box that bolts on the carrier underneath the seats that is the control module, the two buttons to replace the blank with on the climate control module, and the wiring harness. You might know that on the plugs underneath the seat, there is one plug that uses heavy-guage wire. It just doesn't connect to anything on the seat. The wiring harness replaces that plug and connects the control module to that cable. Pretty neat modular design.
I took the seats apart, and the grids are self-stick and apply to the foam. Everything was simple, it just took an immense amount of time to disassemble/reassemble the seats. I don't even know if it works, though, as the software that enables the switches on the climate control won't be installed until Tuesday afternoon. I'll report back.
All in all, it costs $510 for the parts, and the software will be $25 plus whatever labor is required.
