I'm not sure that THIS complaint is the same as what I've read discussed here before nor should I comment here as my opinion without knowing the facts.
One thing IS certain, MANY newer Volvo customers are not happy about how they perceive that their cars should shift compared to other cars. The newer Volvo trannies do shift a bit strangely compared to most other cars and I think that some of what people often complain about is "normal" for THAT trans, just that the customers aren't use to it yet.
As for another reported trans issue here in recent past, Volvo is very close to a SW solution but it's not yet currently available by normal means. All I can say to that is be patient IF it applies.
